200 Conservative parliamentarians attend biggest ever CFI Annual Business Lunch 2016, with Prime Minister Theresa May
CFI hosted its biggest ever Annual Business Lunch yesterday, which was addressed by Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Theresa May MP and attended by 800 people, including 200 Conservative parliamentarians.
The Prime Minister received a standing ovation from the 800-strong audience for her first speech about Israel and issues affecting the UK Jewish community, where she vowed that Britain would mark the Balfour Declaration centenary "with pride".
She made the “ground-breaking” announcement that the UK was adopting the broad definition of anti-Semitism drawn up by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) – an intergovernmental organisation backed by 31 countries.
